Upgrade

Upgrading your JForum installation

Upgrading from an older version of JForum to the newest release is very straightforward, requiring only a bit of attention and the reading of the proper documentation.

To upgrade from version 2.1.7 to 2.1.8, check Upgrading from 2.1.7 to 2.1.8
To upgrade from version 2.1.6 to 2.1.7, check Upgrading from 2.1.6 to 2.1.7
To upgrade from version 2.1.4 to 2.1.6, check Upgrading from 2.1.4 to 2.1.6

To upgrade from even older releases to the newest version, you should follow the logical sequence of upgrading. For example, to upgrade from 2.1.6 to 2.1.8, you should first upgrade from 2.1.6 to 2.1.7 to then upgrade from 2.1.7 to 2.1.8.
