I quickly read over the source code SearchAction.java and found that there are different ways to specify search terams.

q1. The search terms seem case insensitive?!
q2. What is the difference between "SearchModel.searchByLikeWord" and "SearchModel.searchByWord"?

Does any one how the syntax of search terms specification?

Please advise and thanks in advance!

a1: Yes. All search words are written in lowercase to the database.

a2: The first use LIKE when performing matches, and the second one uses the equals (=) sign. Note that that first one (LIKE) is much slower.

I see. Thanks.

One more question:

q3. Are only blanks used as the delimiter of the specified search terms?

How about commas or tabs?

You mean, the user input? Yes, only blank spaces are taken into account when spliting the words to search.
